This charming country house is located in a peaceful, rural setting. An ideal place to recover from the stressful, dark winter days. The only thing you will hear is birdsong.
Salas Nou is a beautifully designed country house with plenty of natural light that has been completely renovated. The original house was built more than 100 years ago. It has the charm of the typical Mallorcan country house with a wonderful mix of rustic details such as natural stone walls, high ceilings with wooden beams combined with comfortable, modern furniture. From the entrance you enter directly into the living room with a wood-burning stove. The large, open-plan kitchen/dining area with a beautiful wooden dining table is spacious, light-flooded and well-equipped. From here, large glass doors lead out onto the terrace in front of the house. From the kitchen there is access to a double bedroom which has an en-suite bathroom with shower. On the other side of the house there is a bedroom with an en-suite shower room. A guest WC is located near the entrance. The upper floor has a double and a twin bedroom with views of the pool and the surrounding area. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with bath and separate shower.
There is no better place to enjoy peace and tranquillity. Salas Nou is located in a beautiful area surrounded by bushes, wild olive trees, pines and carob trees. Take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool (9m. x 4.5m depth min 0.90 - max 1.60) with Roman steps. By the pool there is a small terrace with comfortable sun loungers where you can relax and read your favourite book. There are lawned areas and a lovely covered terrace with barbecue, ideal for preparing 'al fresco' dinners on the brick barbecue and enjoying the balmy summer evenings. There is also a pizza oven which you are welcome to use.
All bedrooms have hot/cold air conditioning with fixed operating times from 14:00 - 15:30 and 20:00 - 06:00. For winter lettings, a heating radiator is provided in the living room. Wood for the fireplace can be purchased at garden centres, supermarkets and petrol stations. The price includes bed linen, towels for use in the house, tea towels, final cleaning and all utilities (electricity, water, gas). A high chair and a cot (60 x 120 cm) can be provided free of charge.
The small and unspoilt villages of Calonge and S'Horta offer a few shops, a supermarket, a church and some really nice restaurants. The holiday resort of Cala D'Or, only 10 minutes away, scores with pretty sandy bays, a large sn of restaurants, shops and the impressive international marina. The inland town of Felanitx, with its lively weekly market on Sunday mornings, is 15 minutes away by car. Golfers are not far away either, the golf course "Vall D'Or Golf" with its fantastic clubhouse situated on a hill can be reached in 10 minutes by car.
